In order to use NamePros, you need an active, reliable email address associated with your account. This cuts down on fraud and other forms of abuse. If we repeatedly encounter problems sending messages to your email address, your NamePros account will be temporarily deactivated ,and you'll receive a notice directing you to this page.
You may be confused if you're still receiving emails without issue from other websites, or seemingly even from NamePros. However, this notice normally indicates that something has changed—we've encountered an error that we can't resolve automatically.
When we attempt to send you an email, our servers contact your email provider's servers. It's possible for your email provider's servers to reject the message; this is called a bounce. The server gives us an error code telling us roughly what the problem is. Some codes specifically indicate that we are not allowed to send further emails to your email address. When this happens, we have to stop sending messages to you immediately.
Another problem that can arise is a spam report. There's a procedure for email providers to tell us when someone has marked our messages as spam. These reports are only supposed to be sent when a human directly indicates that they no longer want to receive our messages and that we should stop emailing them. However, some email providers—particularly Yahoo—don't follow this procedure. They'll send a report on your behalf indicating that you've marked our messages as spam, when, in reality, it was just their automated system erroneously sending our messages to the junk folder.
In both of these scenarios, even if we think the issue is temporary, we are required to stop emailing you. To reactivate your account, you'll have to change your email address.
If you'd like to contact us for assistance, you can click the support button in the lower right corner of the page. Note, however, that we're rarely able to resolve the issue for you. Usually, you will need to change your email address or get in contact with your email provider.
If you're currently using Yahoo or your hosting provider's email service, we recommend switching to Gmail, Outlook.com, or ProtonMail. We very rarely experience issues with these providers, and they don't send us bogus spam reports, unlike Yahoo.
